As a technical consultant, you’ll work both remotely and at client facilities around the country to identify, design and implement solutions (like apps, workflows or dashboards) that help our clients accomplish their goals.

We’re looking for someone we can train and invest in – someone who wants to learn, grow and take advantage of mentorship opportunities not found at any other entry-level job.

What Is a Consultant?
As a consultant at Big Compass, you will constantly be exposed to new technologies, clients, processes, and opportunities. Projects range from several weeks to multi-year engagements whether your client is a Fortune 500 or a small startup. On a project, you will be considered the expert in a particular area where you will advise, mentor, teach, and implement solutions for the client based on their desires and needs. The consultant life is dynamic and challenging, but at Big Compass you will have support from an elite team who will assist you in delivering premier solutions to our clients’ greatest challenges.


Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering, computer science or related field
Passion for technology
Independent with self-starter attitude
Strong written and oral communication skills
Team player with strong interpersonal skills
Very proficient with computer systems
Willingness to soak up knowledge and learn as you go

Some coding ability (preferably object-oriented coding experience)

Some JAVA skills (or similar object-oriented language)
Some database design experience (MSFT, Oracle)
Functional knowledge of SQL
Experience with multiple operating systems (Unix/Linux, Windows)
Basic command line interface ability
Excellent customer service skills
High emotional intelligence
